After 17 years helping global tech companies shape stories that moved markets, Caroline Schaffer found herself searching for something she could not quite name. She began this work to help create meaning, to shape stories that resonate and move people. But somewhere between pitch decks, product launches, strategies and quarterly targets, that original spark often felt buried.

Then one night she stumbled across the Charity Water origin film. A simple video. A human story, built with honesty, clarity, and heart.
Scott Harrison’s story, the transformation, the grit, and the belief that something small could spark massive change reignited something she hadn’t felt in a long time. But it wasn’t just the story that moved her. It was the craft. The execution. The way the narrative carried truth and the visuals elevated the mission instead of overshadowing it.
In that moment, she remembered why she started in the industry at all: to create work that inspires people to care, to act, and to believe in ideas that have the power to shape the world for a better place.

Caroline Schaffer is the founder of Invisible Engine, a brand strategy and design studio for visionary tech companies. With 17 years in the business, she’s partnered with some of the world’s biggest brands including; IBM, Dell, HP, NVIDIA, and AT&T, helping them craft stories, systems, and campaigns that stick.
Known for her fearless approach and human-centered design thinking, Caroline has worked across B2B, B2G and B2C markets spanning advertising, energy innovation, XR, and consumer wellness. She’s led strategy workshops, built pitch decks that fuel multi-million-dollar raises, and created brand identities that break through crowded markets.
Her philosophy is simple: guts over glory. Caroline digs into the truths, tensions, and opportunities that shape a company’s essence, then translates them into brands that feel magnetic, human, and impossible to ignore.

Creative Director
Dmitriy is a seasoned branding and design leader with over seven years of experience working with both local businesses and global market leaders. He has successfully delivered more than 1,000 projects across branding, packaging, illustration, and presentation design. With a strong background in design process optimization, art direction, and team mentorship, Dmitriy also serves as a Graphic & Motion Design Course Curator and Jury Member at a leading IT school. Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Blender, Cinema 4D, and Figma, he blends creativity with strategic leadership to craft visual systems that are both impactful and results-driven.

Sofiia P. is a highly organized and resourceful Project Manager at Invisible Engine, where she orchestrates complex creative and technology projects from concept to delivery. With a sharp eye for detail and a collaborative approach, she ensures that cross-functional teams stay aligned, deadlines are met, and client expectations are exceeded. Sofiia combines her background in design and digital strategy with strong leadership skills to streamline workflows, optimize resources, and foster clear communication across stakeholders. Known for her adaptability and problem-solving mindset, she thrives in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments, helping bring Invisible Engine’s bold ideas to life with precision and impact.

Director of Video
Vanessa is a filmmaker, documentarian, and creative collaborator dedicated to capturing the beauty, truth, and complexity of the human experience. Based in Austin, Texas, she brings decades of storytelling expertise shaped by her early training at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she first fell in love with humanity-driven documentary work.Vanessa’s craft is grounded in empathy. Her process centers on creating a safe, open environment where people feel seen, heard, and understood, allowing their most authentic selves to surface on camera. She is known for blending emotional depth with visual simplicity, letting real stories speak with clarity and heart.
Throughout her career, she has worked across documentary films, nonprofit storytelling, and mission-driven brand content, collaborating with organizations, communities, and individuals whose stories deserve to be elevated. Whether directing, editing, or producing, she approaches every project with curiosity, presence, and deep respect for the people on the other side of the lens.
Her guiding belief is simple: every story matters, and every person has something meaningful to share. Vanessa’s work exists to honor that truth, one film, one conversation, one human moment at a time.

A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, she specializes in defense technology startup outreach, strategic partnerships, and social media marketing for frontier technology companies building what’s next.
Outside of work, she spends a lot of her time volunteering with Austin Pets Alive! and fostering rescue dogs — which means there’s a high probability she’s answering emails with a puppy asleep somewhere nearby. She brings that same energy into her work: approachable, highly social, fast-moving, and impossible to ignore in a room.
Known for building genuine relationships and making brands feel human online, she helps Invisible Engine drive outreach, grow visibility, and create momentum for startups operating in some of the world’s most technical industries. She thrives in fast-paced environments where no two days look the same and where great storytelling matters just as much as great technology.
